Patricia Simino Boyce has combined her passion for sustainability and health promotion by working with her brother, Harry R. Simino (architect/builder), to design and build an eco-friendly, sustainable mixed-use building in Brooklyn, NY.
The process of integrating energy-efficient, healthy design principles into the newly constructed building has strengthened her commitment to build a locally sustainable community by using the public spaces in the building to provide community access to products, resources, and education for sustainable living.
In addition to her interest in sustainability, Patti has worked in clinical and public health care for more than 25 years, specializing in the dissemination and adoption of evidence-based interventions and building replicable models of innovative practice in hundreds of practice communities across the country.
Brooklyn Ecopolis allows Patti to combine her expertise designing innovative programs and bringing people together to create lasting solutions in local communities.
